How to Install Quasar Kodi (Pulsar Fork)

  • Fix TvShowTitle InfoLabel for episodes and seasons, #395

Quasar is a fork of the Pulsar add-on. As with Pulsar the add-on uses P2P to stream content (if you don't know what this means then you probably shouldn't use it) and it browses media from TheMovieDB and TVDB.
The add-on requires providers to work. The unofficial Pulsar repo has Quasar providers and this guide gives a link to that too.

  • Select Services

  • Select Remote Control

  • Enable Allow remote control by programs on this system & Allow remote control by programs on other systems

  • Go back to your Home Screen
  • Select SYSTEM

  • Select Add-Ons

  • Select Install from zip file

  • Navigate to where you downloaded the Quasar zip file and select plugin.video.quasar.xxxxxxxx.zip (it will be named something similar to this)

  • Wait for Add-on enabled notification

  • You may also see the Quasar daemon started notification

  • Select Install from zip file again

  • Navigate to where you downloaded the unofficial Quasar repo zip and select repository.unofficialquasar-latest.zip

  • Wait for Add-on enabled notification

  • Select Install from repository

  • Select Unofficial Quasar Repo or Unofficial Quasar Repo Mirror

  • Select Program Add-ons

  • Select a provider

  • Select Install

  • Wait for Add-on enabled notification

  • Repeat for any other providers you wish to install
  • Reboot Kodi and Quasar should be setup and ready to use
